Miss Molly is MOBILE!! The day she turned 6 months old she figured out how to do the "caterpillar/inchworm". Only days later she figured out how to maneuver her hands and legs together. She has her wobbly moments but this little girl is on a mission to go places. Molly is now on 3 meals a day of baby food. Just 2wks ago I bought a few 9mos pj's because she had grown out of everything. Well she has just about grown out of those as well. At her last wks 6 month dr. check-up she weighed in a 17lbs 1oz and she measured 27.25 inches in length.
I have really learned that all babies are truely different. There is not one thing that Molly and Lily have done the same. Lily got teeth sooner. Molly crawled 3 1/2 months sooner than Lily. Lily sat up independently quicker. And their personalities are SOOOO different.
I am happy and SO PROUD to report Lily is officially out of her crib and sleeping in her toddler bed. Last week I put Lily down for a nap in her crib, about 5 minutes later she greeted me in the kitchen. I kept asking myself "when will she be ready for her big-girl bed?". Her Granny Ronna had mentioned that sometimes children make the decisions for us. So that very night we started fresh and haven't turned back. The 1st 3 nights we layed with her. Monday night we started putting her in there by herself. The first night she tried getting out of her bed about 5x's. Tuesday night she came out of her room about 3x's. Last night I had to work so Daddy tackled the girls solo and when it was time for bed he said it couldn't have went smoother. He read her a story, tucked her in tight, and she never once tried to get out of bed and not 1 tear was seen.
I am even HAPPIER to report Miss Molly is out of mommy and daddy's room!!! HOORAY!!! Now that Lily's crib is vacant I did not wasted a minute to put Molly in there. Now the girls are full time roommates.
Last but not least we took family photos over the weekend. Aunt Sharon's friend, Katherine Shamoun photographed Lily when she was about 5mos old so we had her do the same for Molly. We also took the opportunity to have her take a few of us as a family of 4! Lets just say Lily is NOT A FAN of the camera. Thankfully Katherine is GREAT at her craft and she was able to get some really great shots. If only you could see how uncooperative Lily was for pictures (hahaha) I swear Katherine does magic!!!!
