Lily will be 8mos this week. She is getting bigger and bigger everyday. I thought for sure she would be crawling by now but she just hasn't yet mastered the skill. Maybe by the next post I can say she has two more teeth or has finally become mobile. I don't want to wish things to fast but our poor lil sugar bee gets so frustrated when she realizes she can't get anywhere.

Tieing up 7 months
Two weekends ago we were in Ft. Lauderdale for Aunt Andria's baby shower. Lily was on her best behavior. She even had a few "play mates" to hang with. This past weekend Grammy came to stay with Lily while Ryan and I were camping. I would have loved to taken her with us however the tent set-up was not ideal for our little wiggle worm. Next trip, we will be sure to make arrangements that accommodate her. It actually worked out best that Lily was able to sleep in her own bed at night. Those two top toofers are still trying to break through and has had her waking up several times through the night. On Saturday Grammy and Lily came over to the camp ground to visit for a bit. Grandpa sang to her by the camp fire and we went for a walk by the creek. She seemed to really enjoy everything.

Beach Bummin' at the Airboat Show
Again we were in Ft. Lauderdale over the weekend and went to the Airboat Show with Uncle Nick and Aunt Andria. Of course we met up with more of the family as well. This trip was a little different. Lily was able ride in her wagon Uncle Nick custom built for her. As most know, Ryan and I LOVE to "bum it" at the beach. Well, it is quite difficult to push a stroller or drag a wagon through the sand. Therefor Uncle Nick accommodated our little Darlin' with a decked out wagon that is ready for any event. Big ole' fat go-cart tires that can truck through anything, an umbrella that blocks the sun, and a cooler rack with chilled beverages. He even put a backrest and seat belt on there to keep the "precious cargo" safe.
On another note, Lily's "new thing" is she is becoming a "snuggler". She hasn't been much of one to love or cuddle. Hopefully this stage sticks around a while. Doesn't get much better than this....

7 months with a Big Girl Bath
Again we were in Ft. Lauderdale for some family festivities. We stayed with Ryan's parents this trip. Of course Granny Ronna spoiled Lily to the max. She added a new purchase to her baby collection, a "Jumper-Roo". So between my mom's and Ryan's dad's, we will never have to pack much. They've got it all...cribs, highchairs, sassy seats, jumpers, toys, blanket, bibs, clothes and the list goes on. It makes traveling very nice considering we use my tiny car for the majority of our travels. And lets keep in mind EVERYWHERE we go...Zeke(family dog) goes. It's kinda funny to see him sitting in the back seat with Lily as she scratches his back.
We attended a baby shower for our friends Chris and Nicole on Saturday at a park. It was a beautiful day for it! Not a cloud in the sky. On Sunday we went to Lily's Great Uncle Mike's for her GREAT GRANDMA'S 21st Birthday ;) I wish I snapped a shot of her with Lily but I will have to snag my mom's camera to get a copy. We had a nice visit. As soon as we drove away we said to each other, "The down fall to living on the other side of the state :( , everything is cut in half".
In addition to our parties...Lily took her first "big girl bath". No baby tub, she was about to bust out of it so we thought it was time. Granny Ronna bought "tub toys" which quickly turned into "chew toys". Each night she chose a new victim(letter) for her bath session :)
Sunday afternoon we gave Lily a new chew toy, only this one contained real food. Its a mesh bag that can be filled and screwed on top of a handle grip. So I filled it full of fresh apples. Yummm
Aside from that, Lily is doing great. She recently started to reach for us or put her arms up when she is wanting or ready to be held. Its the best feeling. She is still sleeping and eating like a champ. She can also get on her hands and knees to "rock". I wanted to video it this week but being that I am so forgetful it will have to wait considering I left my video camera in Ft. Lauderdale. Ryan is not the least bit surprised.

Multiplying at a rapid rate!
Over the weekend we were in Ft. Lauderdale for a family function which turned out to be quite a big weekend for delivering NEWS. As well all know Nick and Andria are expecting their first child in May and we are anxiously awaiting. Our cousin Bonnie announced on Saturday that her and her husband Steve are expecting TWINS in October!! And on Sunday, Sharon and Johnel announced they too are expecting in October but they are expecting TRIPLETS!! There are going to be babies everywhere! And for all of you that don't know; Grammy hand makes Christmas stockings for all of us. I think its safe to say she will be very busy till December. I bet Billy won't even hold Katie's hand now ha ha(that's Katie's boyfriend).
Sharon had called me Saturday evening and said to me "we are trying to get everyone together". She didn't even have to confirm my suspicion. I promptly responded "I am on it!". So I made the calls to the siblings just to say we are having lunch at mom and pop's before Ryan, Lily, and I head home. Andria of course thought to herself there was an announcement of some sort. Katie thought I had news to share but didn't know what it could be since she and I enjoyed a beer together the night before. Mom and Dad had no clue and Ryan was so far out in left field, it was perfect. So we "ordered" pizza...which is what we did when Nick and Andria spilled their beans. So be careful Katie the next time you bring pizza home. Mom may automatically start screaming and Dad will have that confused look on his face again.
This time I was prepared to video the reactions. I apologize in advance. The camera was a little out of focus at the start. The facial expressions are priceless. Lily was even stunned....
And since Andria's email updates never include a photo...for your viewing pleasure. She and the baby are doing great and soaring through the pregnancy. Happy, healthy, and growing strong!

Last but certainly not least Lily is doing great. Getting bigger everyday. Her latest milestone is she can get up on her hands and knees and start to rock. She is scooting but has only found her reverse gear. Oh and I think its safe to say she is obsessed with Wheel of Fortune.
