Lily had a re-check with her Dr. this morning. The infection is gone and he said she looks great. They did weigh her and she is 13lbs 8oz. She goes back in 2 weeks for her 4 month check. Maybe will be break 14lbs. On the not so good side...her daycare sent home paperwork letting the parents know that there have been two confirmed cases of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) in the infant room. The dr. said its very common this time of year and unfortunately very contagious. Right now we are praying Lily stays healthy and doesn't catch it. The virus takes 6wks to run its course. Symtoms are severe congestion, weazing, difficulty breathing, fever, and loss of appitite. Breathing treatments are usually necissary and if not caught early and under a physcian's care....children Lily's age end up in the hospital. Sooo.....fingers crossed we are on the clear side. Yet another down fall to daycare.
On a happy note I loaded a few videos of her last night. "Tummy Time" has been quite a battle for us. Anytime I would try and put her down she would "face plant" and start licking the mat with frustration. It took several weeks of a little bit(seconds/minutes) at a time. It has finally paid off!

***Lesson Learned***
I've caught myself being more careful with what I say and how I word it.
Former phrase: "I can't wait for this or that". Current phrase "I'm excited for this or that". In the blink of an eye months have past. These are all moments I can't get back. I am learning to cherish everything. Whether its the late night feedings or the endless exhaustion. I'm excited for tomorrow and I can wait because "I'm going to miss this"

Walk for Autism

Saturday Lily and Mommy participated in a Walk for Autism. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. The wind was strong but it helped keep the heat down. She is still a little young for sunscreen so I knew I needed to do my best to keep the sun off of her pearl white skin. I stopped by the store on our way to buy her a hat. Lets just say people were stopping us to say how adorable she looked. Lily was a trooper. The only time she fussed was for a bottle. There was enough going on around her that she was occupied otherwise. When we got back home she took a 3 hour nap. My lil Sugar Bee was pooped!

A Rough Day!!!
As you read in the previous update Lily had a rough weekend. Well the rough waves continued into the week. She ran a slight fever on Monday night and was a little more fussy. The next morning she woke crying which is out of the norm for her. Usually she is cooing away in her crib. There was no fever but she ate and went right back to sleep. I took her to daycare with the intentions of calling the dr. to get her an appointment. All the while her skin was still aggravated and I knew by then the symptoms should have subsided. So I was able to get an appointment at 2p. I picked her up and she was running a slight fever. By the time we got to the dr.'s office her fever spiked to 103! Her skin rash which turns out to be eczema, flared up all over her body. The dr. said it was inflamed from the heat of the fever. During the exam the dr. pricked her finger for blood work - red blood count was in the 20,000 range (normal is 12,000- 14,000). He checked her throat with the tongue depressor and instantly she vomitted all over the both of us. My poor Sugar Bee felt awful! Just when I thought they were done the nurse came in and said they needed to put a "puck/urine bag" on her to check for a UTI. Ofcorse Lily didn't have to go so they had to do a catheter on her - I felt terrible for her!!!! I won't even begin to describe that expierence. So the dr. came back in and said she has a bacterial infection. They immediately gave her a shot in each leg of antibiotics. The dr. asked to see us back the next morning for a re-check. We went home. Daddy left work as soon as I said she had 103 fever so he was waiting for us at home. Lily was so exhausted and not feeling good that she would cry if she wasn't being held. So mommy and Lily slept out on the couch. I held her the entire night.
The next morning Lily was 200% better. She was smiling and acting her normal self. For the eczema the dr. perscribed a cream and just over night her skin was PERFECT! We went to the dr for the re-check and everything was as it should be. We go back in 10 days and take an antibiotic orally until then.
Daycare has its' pro's and con's - This was diffinately a CON! But we conqured and are back on track.

One Crazy Weekend
So our First Fun Filled Halloween weekend turned out to be quite a busy one as well. We kicked off Friday night at Ryan's Dad's house "Pop's" for his birthday/retirement get together. Granny Ronna of course adored every second with Lily. Ronna even went on a little shopping spree for Lily too :). So now she has a whole nursery set up at their house as well. After our visit there we trucked on over to Grammy's for bed time.
Saturday morning we woke up and went to Great-Grandma's for breakfast and a nice visit. Just after lunch time, Lily's Grandma and Grandpa Ron came down to visit; bearing gifts as always. Lily recieved a few toys and her 1st Halloween bag. Meanwhile Lily has been getting a little chafed under her neck and chin so the Dr. recommend I apply "Aguaphor" to help heal and dry the area. Lets just say it did not heal or dry! Towards the end of the day Lily broke out in a rash and it got worse as the night went on. So my lil sugar bee didn't even get to put on her 1st Halloween costume (a Lady-Bug). She woke up from her evening nap and looked pretty good so I took her outside to snap a few camera shots with Daddy and the pumpkin but within 10mins her skin had flared up again. So I ended up calling the Dr. and I had to drive around to find an open store to get Cordizone Cream. Turns out A&D ointment worked the best (Thanks Shannon). Happy to say 24hrs later Lily was just about good as new.
The "Busy Saturday" continues......
In addition to Lily's morning visits, Uncle Nick and Aunt Andria came over with her family for what seemed like just Halloween Fun. To all of our surprise they announced to everyone they are 11wks pregnant and expecting their 1st bundle of joy on May 24th!!!! I think I captured mom's expression perfectly in the picture below! Congratulations Nick & Andria. Oh and for all of you wondering, they aren't going to find out the sex of the baby - awww yeaaaa!
On to Sunday...we woke up and Lily was doing much better but Grammy was the one who wasn't feeling so hot. I was on my way to visit my friend Jessica who just had her little girl over the weekend at one hospital but then I ended up visiting my mom at another hospital for a reoccurring issue from 2wks ago. To sum it all up...my friend Jessica and her baby are happy and healthy; and my mom should be just fine as well. She had to be admitted overnight for monitoring and first thing Monday morning she was set up to see a dr. and have some test run. Get Better Grammy!!!!
In the end...it was a nice weekend but looking back, it was very hectic. Lily was asleep by 7p and Mommy & Daddy hit the pillows just after 8p. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
Oh and how could I forget! In the mix of this all Lily has started to teeth! WoooHooo!!!
Here are a few pictures from this weekend. Enjoy
