Lily/Family Photo Shoot

Last Saturday we went to a fellow teacher friend's house of Auntie Sharon's for a little photo shoot. Since Lily was born I have only snapped photos of her myself but I wanted to get professional ones taken. Sharon's friend Kathy is starting to take he photography hobby to the next level and used Lily as a guinea pig for her first infant shoot. We arrived there at the perfect time. Lily was fed and just woke up from a nap so she was all smiles! For about a solid hour Kathy snapped Lily with a few shots of the three of us. I am very pleased with the results. I can't wait to develop them and enlarge some for the wall.

I give you the BEAUTIFUL LILY ......

Lily's 1st Christmas 2009

2009 Coyle Christmas - First of many!

We survived!!! It was nice to have 2 days after Christmas day to recover. Lily was a trooper traveling place to place. Naps were were all over and I think for the past week, every time she fell asleep she has woken up in a different place. Lily received all sorts of gifts. From bikinis to toys; she is set for quite a while. Luckily we brought the truck. It was nice to see everyone but it was a relief to be back at home Sunday night. There's no place like home.

Wingett Tradition - Hand stitched stockings by "Grammy"

Saturday morning we went to have pictures taken; Auntie Sharon's Christmas gift. I am anxiously awaiting those. Kathy (photographer) got some awesome shots. Once again Lily was a trooper. She had a few wardrobe changes along with some sleepy shots. There should be quite a variety.

Until next time.....

First trip to see Santa

IT WAS A SUCCESS!

The three of us trucked into town on Saturday morning to Bass Pro Shops to sit on Santa's Lap. Ryan and I already got what we wished for this year - A Happy & Healthy Baby! The line wasn't too bad, about 30 mins. It turned out to be perfect because Sugar Bee fell asleep in her stroller and took a little snooze. In perfect timing she opened her eyes and we were up next. No tears and all smiles.

On our way to see Santa...

Such a happy camper...

Lily and Santa - 2009

First Family Christmas 2009...

By the fire & man was that toasty!...

After wards, we decided to treat ourselves to lunch. Lily again took a snooze so it kind of felt like Ryan and I were on a date hahaha. We window shopped a little more around the nice Gulf Coast Town Center and then it was home we headed.

Sunday Grammy and Grandpa came over to pick up Lily and keep her till Christmas Eve "Eve". As much as I thought I would need a few days to clean and get some extra hours in at work - Ryan and I are both lost without her!!!! About a month ago we entertained the idea of having one of the many Grandma's babysit for New Years...these past few days may have changed our minds.

I've been calling multiple times a day to make sure our lil Sugar Bee is being well taken care of and of coarse she is getting nothing less than spoiled rotten! Auntie Sharon is suppose to go pic-up Lily from my mom tomorrow because when Grammy is around no one is able to touch her. Hopefully they will have a good time together and Lily will be on her best behavior so that it doesn't scare Auntie Sharon from giving Lily a cousin or 5.

Ryan and I have been hitting some overtime with work and hope to get on the road Wednesday evening to head over to the east coast. So there will be another update of the upcoming chain of events.

Christmas Eve at Ryan's Aunt Peggy's
Christmas Morning at Grammy & Grandpa's (Wingett side)
Christmas Mid-Morning at Granny & Pop's (Coyle side)
Christmas Lunch at Uncle Mike's (Bulter side)
Christmas Dinner at Uncle Jason and Crystal's (Coyle side)
Day after Christmas (morning) Lily's/ 1st Family pictures
Day after Christmas (evening) A friend' s 30th surprise party.

ughhhh I am already tired from just thinking about it all!

To say the least we are going to be ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!! xoxo

5 Months & Christmas Approaching

Time is flying and Lily is growing fast. We hit a few bumps along the way but nothing we haven't been able to overcome. Recently Ryan and I got sick. Luckily it was only a 24-48hr bug. We were in Ft. Lauderdale when we came down with it so Ryan and I stayed at his parents and we sent Lily over to my folk's house in hopes she wouldn't catch it. Just when I thought we were in the clear of keeping the germs contained, Grammy caught it. After talking with the girls from Lily's daycare we realized she was the "carrier" but never showed any symptoms. Proof that her immune system is building up. We were scheduled that same weekend to have pictures taken on Sunday but due to the "stomach bug" we had to cancel. If all goes as plans, we are going to try again the day after Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas - its right around the corner. We are both excited to be able to see the family and friends for the holiday. But we are ecstatic for Lily's Very First Merry Christmas! It will be hectic because we are making 4 stops that day. Ryan has already said we will do it this year and next but after that we will be spending Christmas day at home.

The other day at school Santa came to visit. She was the only baby who smiled for her picture. I know, I know ...you don't need to say it "Santa looks scary" ha ha. Ryan and I are taking her Saturday morning to Bass Pro to get another picture with Santa.

4 months and many changes

Lily had her 1st Thanksgiving last weekend. We went up to Ryan's mom's (Grandma Kathy & Grandpa Ron's house) in Deland. Lily's Aunts and Uncle on the "Rheault" side were in town so it was nice to see everyone. The weather was beautiful and we had a nice visit. On Friday Lily went to her1st "Turkey Rod Run"(car show) at the Daytona Speedway. Grandpa Ron entered the 55 Chevy and 66 Mustang so it was quite the event. Saturday we trucked on over to "downtown" to walk around the shops as always.

Yesterday Lily had her 4 month check up at the dr.'s office. She passed with flying colors.

weight 13lbs 15oz
length 25in

She has grown out of most of her clothes again. We are now in 6-9mos sizes - growing like a weed. A week ago she rolled over from her belly to her back - Grammy was there to witness the first "flop over". But Grandma Kathy was able to witness Lily's 1st little belly laugh during the visit. We've tried cereal but its quite a chore. The dr. actually said to hold off until her weight gets up to the 15-16lb range. She is still teething. About a week ago she finally figured out how to grasp onto things. She is now working on the coordination to chew and hold at the same time - occasionally she holds her bottle. The last thing that she started to enjoy but I'm not too thrilled about is... "The Nuk" aka "Binky" or "Pacifier". I really don't like those but it actually soothes her and I think it may help with her teething - so we'll see how that goes. I hope it will just be a phase lol.

Dr. re-check & videos

Lily had a re-check with her Dr. this morning. The infection is gone and he said she looks great. They did weigh her and she is 13lbs 8oz. She goes back in 2 weeks for her 4 month check. Maybe will be break 14lbs. On the not so good side...her daycare sent home paperwork letting the parents know that there have been two confirmed cases of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) in the infant room. The dr. said its very common this time of year and unfortunately very contagious. Right now we are praying Lily stays healthy and doesn't catch it. The virus takes 6wks to run its course. Symtoms are severe congestion, weazing, difficulty breathing, fever, and loss of appitite. Breathing treatments are usually necissary and if not caught early and under a physcian's care....children Lily's age end up in the hospital. Sooo.....fingers crossed we are on the clear side. Yet another down fall to daycare.

On a happy note I loaded a few videos of her last night. "Tummy Time" has been quite a battle for us. Anytime I would try and put her down she would "face plant" and start licking the mat with frustration. It took several weeks of a little bit(seconds/minutes) at a time. It has finally paid off!

***Lesson Learned***
I've caught myself being more careful with what I say and how I word it.

Former phrase: "I can't wait for this or that". Current phrase "I'm excited for this or that". In the blink of an eye months have past. These are all moments I can't get back. I am learning to cherish everything. Whether its the late night feedings or the endless exhaustion. I'm excited for tomorrow and I can wait because "I'm going to miss this"

Walk for Autism

Saturday Lily and Mommy participated in a Walk for Autism. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. The wind was strong but it helped keep the heat down. She is still a little young for sunscreen so I knew I needed to do my best to keep the sun off of her pearl white skin. I stopped by the store on our way to buy her a hat. Lets just say people were stopping us to say how adorable she looked. Lily was a trooper. The only time she fussed was for a bottle. There was enough going on around her that she was occupied otherwise. When we got back home she took a 3 hour nap. My lil Sugar Bee was pooped!

A Rough Day!!!

As you read in the previous update Lily had a rough weekend. Well the rough waves continued into the week. She ran a slight fever on Monday night and was a little more fussy. The next morning she woke crying which is out of the norm for her. Usually she is cooing away in her crib. There was no fever but she ate and went right back to sleep. I took her to daycare with the intentions of calling the dr. to get her an appointment. All the while her skin was still aggravated and I knew by then the symptoms should have subsided. So I was able to get an appointment at 2p. I picked her up and she was running a slight fever. By the time we got to the dr.'s office her fever spiked to 103! Her skin rash which turns out to be eczema, flared up all over her body. The dr. said it was inflamed from the heat of the fever. During the exam the dr. pricked her finger for blood work - red blood count was in the 20,000 range (normal is 12,000- 14,000). He checked her throat with the tongue depressor and instantly she vomitted all over the both of us. My poor Sugar Bee felt awful! Just when I thought they were done the nurse came in and said they needed to put a "puck/urine bag" on her to check for a UTI. Ofcorse Lily didn't have to go so they had to do a catheter on her - I felt terrible for her!!!! I won't even begin to describe that expierence. So the dr. came back in and said she has a bacterial infection. They immediately gave her a shot in each leg of antibiotics. The dr. asked to see us back the next morning for a re-check. We went home. Daddy left work as soon as I said she had 103 fever so he was waiting for us at home. Lily was so exhausted and not feeling good that she would cry if she wasn't being held. So mommy and Lily slept out on the couch. I held her the entire night.

The next morning Lily was 200% better. She was smiling and acting her normal self. For the eczema the dr. perscribed a cream and just over night her skin was PERFECT! We went to the dr for the re-check and everything was as it should be. We go back in 10 days and take an antibiotic orally until then.

Daycare has its' pro's and con's - This was diffinately a CON! But we conqured and are back on track.

One Crazy Weekend

So our First Fun Filled Halloween weekend turned out to be quite a busy one as well. We kicked off Friday night at Ryan's Dad's house "Pop's" for his birthday/retirement get together. Granny Ronna of course adored every second with Lily. Ronna even went on a little shopping spree for Lily too :). So now she has a whole nursery set up at their house as well. After our visit there we trucked on over to Grammy's for bed time.

Saturday morning we woke up and went to Great-Grandma's for breakfast and a nice visit. Just after lunch time, Lily's Grandma and Grandpa Ron came down to visit; bearing gifts as always. Lily recieved a few toys and her 1st Halloween bag. Meanwhile Lily has been getting a little chafed under her neck and chin so the Dr. recommend I apply "Aguaphor" to help heal and dry the area. Lets just say it did not heal or dry! Towards the end of the day Lily broke out in a rash and it got worse as the night went on. So my lil sugar bee didn't even get to put on her 1st Halloween costume (a Lady-Bug). She woke up from her evening nap and looked pretty good so I took her outside to snap a few camera shots with Daddy and the pumpkin but within 10mins her skin had flared up again. So I ended up calling the Dr. and I had to drive around to find an open store to get Cordizone Cream. Turns out A&D ointment worked the best (Thanks Shannon). Happy to say 24hrs later Lily was just about good as new.

The "Busy Saturday" continues......

In addition to Lily's morning visits, Uncle Nick and Aunt Andria came over with her family for what seemed like just Halloween Fun. To all of our surprise they announced to everyone they are 11wks pregnant and expecting their 1st bundle of joy on May 24th!!!! I think I captured mom's expression perfectly in the picture below! Congratulations Nick & Andria. Oh and for all of you wondering, they aren't going to find out the sex of the baby - awww yeaaaa!

On to Sunday...we woke up and Lily was doing much better but Grammy was the one who wasn't feeling so hot. I was on my way to visit my friend Jessica who just had her little girl over the weekend at one hospital but then I ended up visiting my mom at another hospital for a reoccurring issue from 2wks ago. To sum it all up...my friend Jessica and her baby are happy and healthy; and my mom should be just fine as well. She had to be admitted overnight for monitoring and first thing Monday morning she was set up to see a dr. and have some test run. Get Better Grammy!!!!

In the end...it was a nice weekend but looking back, it was very hectic. Lily was asleep by 7p and Mommy & Daddy hit the pillows just after 8p. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

Oh and how could I forget! In the mix of this all Lily has started to teeth! WoooHooo!!!

Here are a few pictures from this weekend. Enjoy

Pumpkin Patch with the 1st Cold Front

Well, we went to Lily's 1st pumpkin Patch and picked out her very 1st pumpkin. It was so windy and cold I couldn't even sit her up on her own to take a few shots. The poor thing couldn't even open her eyes because the sun was beaming down so hard. On the up side, it was a BEAUTIFUL day. Lily was dressed in her little Halloween outfit that her Grandma sent down from Deland. The pumpkin beanie/cap was perfect! I hope to try for "round 2" to get some better pictures of her.

This morning was quite chilly in our neck of the woods. The early a.m. was in the 40's burrr! So needless to say Lily had to get bundled up before we left the house. Thought you'd like to see how stinkin' cute she looked!

A few of our friends utilize a blog. I thought it was a great way to let those of you who don't get to see Lily as often; watch her grow. Now, I am new at this bogging stuff so there will be more updates soon. Enjoy!

Our little Lily isn't so little anymore!
